Foothills Ranch in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon
A highlight of this wedding season was documenting Noelle and Alex’s beautiful wedding at Silver Falls State Park near Salem, Oregon. As a Southern California wedding photographer who travels throughout the West Coast and beyond, this was my first Oregon wedding. And it was an incredible introduction to the Pacific Northwest.
This couple chose Foothills Ranch in Smith Creek Village, located within Silver Falls State Park, as their wedding venue and home base for the weekend. Surrounded by towering evergreens, they celebrated with their closest family and friends in a cozy cabin-style lodge nestled in the forest. And yes, their entire wedding party, and even some guests were allowed to stay in the large cabin converted into the reception space, or camp anywhere on the property.
Their outdoor ceremony was filled with heartfelt moments. A favorite being watching their adorable puppy, Lassen, walk down the aisle before Noelle’s entrance. The anticipation built beautifully as Noelle made her way through the trees toward Alex. Their personal vows were emotional and sincere, bringing tears to many of their guests and perfectly reflecting the love they share.
Following the ceremony, we explored the stunning forest landscape that makes Silver Falls State Park one of Oregon’s most sought-after wedding destinations. The lush greenery, towering trees, and peaceful trails provided a breathtaking backdrop for their wedding portraits. It’s easy to see why couples planning a Silver Falls State Park wedding are drawn to this location for its natural beauty and intimate atmosphere.
Noelle looked stunning in her elegant Reformation wedding dress, which complemented the surroundings perfectly. Every detail of the day felt thoughtful, timeless, and true to who they are as a couple.
