Some engagement sessions feel like they belong in a movie, and Olivia and AJ's was one of them.

As an engagement photographer in Southern California, I love working with couples who want their photos to reflect their personalities and sense of adventure. From the moment we started planning this session, I knew it was going to be something special.

Thanks to family connections within the film and television industry, Olivia and AJ secured access to the stunning Canyon Ranch Film Location for their engagement photos. With sweeping mountain views, dramatic landscapes, and exclusive access to areas not typically open to the public, it was the perfect setting for an adventurous California engagement session.

When we arrived, we were racing against the setting sun and weren't sure whether we'd be able to reach the highest viewpoint. A production filming on location had access to the upper areas, and timing was uncertain. Fortunately, everything aligned perfectly. The production wrapped earlier than expected, allowing us to be transported to the top of the property just in time to catch golden hour before the sun disappeared behind the mountains.

The result was nothing short of incredible. The warm light, expansive views, and dramatic landscape created the perfect backdrop for their engagement portraits. Olivia looked stunning in an elegant white dress, while AJ's all-black attire created a striking contrast that stood out beautifully against the natural scenery.

The couple also brought several meaningful details to personalize their session, including a bouquet, champagne, and their motorcycle. As an adventure engagement photographer, I always encourage couples to incorporate elements that reflect their story, and these additions helped make the session uniquely theirs.

With the freedom that came from shooting on private property, the couple celebrated with champagne and created some truly unforgettable images alongside their motorcycle.
