Gerry Ranch, in Camarillo, California
It's always exciting to discover a beautiful venue close to home for the first time. Even though Gerry Ranch in Camarillo is only about 15 minutes from where I live, this was my first opportunity to photograph a wedding at this stunning Ventura County wedding venue—and it certainly did not disappoint.
Nestled among rolling hills and picturesque orchards, Gerry Ranch offers a peaceful and private setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of everyday life. Despite being a late autumn wedding, the ceremony site remained beautifully green and shaded, creating a romantic backdrop for the couple's vows. The natural beauty of the property provided endless opportunities for photographs, with scenic views stretching in every direction.
One of my favorite parts of the day was exploring the grounds with the newlyweds for their wedding portraits. Thanks to a golf cart escort, we were able to easily access some of the venue's most scenic locations, including the orchard and surrounding countryside. The combination of golden light, open landscapes, and the couple's excitement made for some truly memorable images.
After the ceremony, guests gathered to enjoy a delicious meal and celebrate the newlyweds in style. The reception was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and an incredible amount of energy on the dance floor. From emotional toasts to lively dancing, every part of the evening reflected the joy surrounding Mr. and Mrs. Peddycoart as they began this new chapter together.
The celebration ended with a beautiful sparkler exit, one of my favorite ways to conclude a wedding day. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple made their grand departure beneath a tunnel of glowing sparklers—a perfect ending to an unforgettable celebration at Gerry Ranch.
